I blame it on Palace...they are our arch enemies!

So all of the tissue paper used because of the webcam, Jack's and Barry's pics and video was all a bit premature?

I picked up a Palace fan last night in my cab. He saw the stadium for the first time as he was driving past last week and his first thought was "Fecking hell, that's big". I had great pride in telling him that the big stand hasn't even started sprouting out the ground yet. He actually said "and we (Palace) play in an absolute shithole".

It was put up and taken down, led to believe that this was intended by Buckingham's and isn't anything to be worried about.

Don't worry... because the arch is curved both vertically and in plan, it is an extremely complex geometrical shape. Watsons have allowed for this, by making some of the flanges oversized, to allow for modifications - but this means that final adjustments cannot be made until it has been put into place.

However it is much easier to make these adjustments on the ground, and for this reason it is likely that you will see each of the sections of the arch being lifted into position and then taken down again over the next few weeks.

So, the stadium has oversized flanges! If Carlsberg made stadiums ......

This just gets better and better.
