How do you pronounce Gus Poyet?

Heard the same interview. Porchette is what he said.

In Uruguay, unlike most of South America they pronounce a Y as a J. It's also a hard T on the end.
The rhyme with courgette is therefore correct.

This makes sense....My wife's uncle lived in Uruguay and told me that he knew Gus's father. When we were talking about Gus he kept correcting my pronunciation of Poyet; the way he said it it sounded like there was a J in it which I couldn't understand at the time.
