Harding was AWFUL when he was here first time round. Couldn't tackle to save his life. I remember Luke Chadwick tormenting him at West Ham when I lost count of the times he gave the ball away. How we got the money we did with him, i'll never know. All in all, a defensive liability and he will need to have improved significantly for me to want to see him anywhere near the first team. I can only assume Slade is thinking about cover until McNulty is back.

Spiller seems to have been dogged by injuries but was obviously a good player a few years ago, so worth a trial.

The fact we have taken Ricketts indicates to me that Murray is definetely on his way out and/or Dickinson is not going to sign.

to be fair to Harding, he must have something about him as Leeds, Ipswich and Reading have all taken him on. There's not many players in our squad who have played much, if at all, at a higher level like he has in recent years. He's got to be worth a closer look.

that's not true. When he displaced Mayo a lot of people were praising him for his performances. He also got into the u21 squad. He made over 70 appearances for ipswich who aren't a shite team. the guy has a decent pedigree. I'd be happy if he came in to the team and worked hard.

Spot on.
Some people are completely deluded.
Harding now has an excellent pedigree, was moments away from joining Reading, and was very good towards the end of his first Albion stint. If people think we are better than him then they are insane. We don't even have a fit LB at the mo ffs!!
And as for Rickets- he scored 12 goals last year, is a bloody nuisance, and has played for England. Again, if you think we're better than that you're INSANE.

BUT if we signed Ricketts for free and he was an extra option is that a bad thing??

I would say maybe not. We need some quality/experience and sadly that was missing for so much of last season up front until Owuso and Andrew showed up...

Face it...Forster is not going to play every game..., Murray who knows? Hart well a squad player but a good one at that and Davies..not proven his worth as yet..

And of course newbie Liam Dickinson....

Hardly blessed with an array of choices..
