And beer. They should ban those 500ml bottles that just pretend to fill your pint glass.

Good point.
500ml, 250ml and 330ml beer bottles should all be banned in favour of pint and half pint ones.

You can imagine the French running this story on their equivalent of 'Mock The Week'.

One of the saddest parts is that a bottle of wine is usually shared, whereas a pint of booze is normally consumed by an individual. Indeed, the pint bottle of wine is - in many ways - the perfect metaphor for Brexit.

Will the wine be Blue Nun and Le Piat d'Or by the pint so we can really get Brexit done and go back to how things used to be in the good old days?
Years back I had a holiday in Jersey and in a little Spar type supermarket they had a whole display of different sizes of Blue Nun...it was in 1.5L, 1L, 750 ml and a little pack of either 6 or 4 125ml bottles.....Black Tower is still available as another option...

More toxic air pollution has been averted by London’s ultra-low emission zones than is produced by the capital’s airports or its river and rail transport combined, according to a new analysis of the effects of the Ulez.

Bury North MP James Daly:

"Most struggling children in his area are products of crap parents"

You're going to be popular, James.

So Sunak has been back begging Cummings for an election ‘strategy’ in the last year.

What horrific judgement. Johnson level.

Oh well, the inevitable knife has been plunged into the back by the evil imp. Just another day in the life of this pitiful and wretched Government.

From the Observer's sports review of the year

From 2023’s war-on-woke: Samir Shah – the government’s “anti-woke” choice as new BBC chair – promising Tory MPs at a pre-appointment hearing in December he would stop @garylineker teasing them. Shah said Lineker’s replies to MPs tweets, including one implying Jonathan Gulis needs help reading, were a threat to BBC balance.

Adding colour to the original story in March when Lineker was taken off air to “protect impartiality” by the then BBC chair and Tory donor Richard Sharp and director general Tim Davie, a former Tory official:

• Tory MP @NadineDorries, asking Lineker to just stick to one job: “Is he a footie presenter or a candidate for the Labour Party? We discuss on my show tonight on @TalkTV 8pm.”

@Nigel_Farage: “Gary Lineker has been spreading hate and should apologise.”

• And Tory councillor Alexis McEvoy, feeling uneasy after Ian Wright led the woke staff walkout at Match of the Day in solidarity with Lineker because, she tweeted, Wright was behaving like a “typical black hypocrite”. She said later the tweet had been “taken out of context”

Cummings has got some front. I'll give him that. Whatever you may feel about Sunk (deliberate typo) he is still PM and you don't impose conditions on a PM.

Anyone not listening to Today this morning try and find the playback and go from about 8:20. Tremendous amounts of unbleeped swearing, followed by James Cleverly stating that he didn’t call that town a shithole because “that’s not how science works”. :lolol: :wrong:

Its a car crash. We all know what we heard and the people in the house heard it too. It doesnt make neuro linguistic sense for him to have said what he claims..whereas what he is accused of saying is a more logical sequitur

I alway tell my investigations team at work that its never the main offence that does for people but the cover up
