Reiss Nelson has already played 47 games for Arsenal, and he is only 21. I think that Arsenal is more interested in Nelson than Nelson is interested in Arsenal.

Would certainly take a chance on him if free or couple million like the Lamptey deal. But don't think we need his type of player enough to be spending 15-20M that's more the type of deal for a newly promoted or rebuilding club who NEED him right away.
I don’t think we develop other team’s players via loans anymore. It’s the opposite in fact. We tend to find a team like Leeds Utd and get them to develop players for us via the loan system.
To be fair, it could be setup as a loan to buy deal.
I'd rather go for Willock on a loan to buy to be honest though.

Nelson has played at every level for the England under age groups, scoring 22 goals in 37 games. Plus he has loads of Premier League and Bundesliga experience and is still only 21.

I do agree with the posts above that kid himself has raw talent and a high ceiling of potential.
But I question the story if the tag is we’re going to loan him for a season. We have plenty of our own talent who need a pathway to the first team to develop. We won’t help other clubs with theirs.

If you looked at the top 20 clubs in Europe and asked them to each identify their 10 hottest young prospects, theoretically you’d have 200 youngsters primed for top level football. The reality is very different. Some will be the next De Bruyne or Grealish, but others will lose their way or just not develop at the highest level and end up in League 1 or giving up entirely. Some will sit in between. I’m just saying that £20m is a lot for a player who is yet to continually establish himself at the highest level. Maybe it’s a gamble worth taking for clubs with bottomless budgets, but Albion is a tight ship and we should leave the gambling to TB and the poker rooms…

I read that more as "if he's not signing a new contract we should sell him while we can" rather than "not good enough - get rid".
To be clear, I've not seen him play and have no idea if he's good enough or not.
