Here’s mine, an engraved gift from my nan on my 21st….which was 34 years ago.

Parker pens were a classic grandparent gift.

I also worked there for the summer before I went to uni. Amongst other things I used to put the lids on the barrels of jotters and watch a lathe like machine for hours at a time incase it snagged. I was allowed to take a cassette player so I listened to music all day as well.

Had a job interview there back in the 80s. I lived in Brighton and didn’t drive. First question: how do you see yourself getting here for a 7am start each day? Silence

The old factory site is now houses and flats, the road names on the development are Parker Drive, Arrow Lane and Fountain Row.
