West Ham have accepted an undisclosed offer from Chelsea for full-back Glen Johnson.
The 18-year-old came to prominence last season despite the Hammers eventually being relegated from the Premiership.
Johnson would be the first signing of a new era at Stamford Bridge under new owner, the Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich.
"West Ham United can confirm that following discussions with Glen Johnson and his advisors, we have accepted an undisclosed offer from Chelsea," read a West Ham statement.
"Glen has been given permission to discuss personal terms with Chelsea."
