Whilst the club has acknowledged an error on their part in taking multiple fees on these transactions I think it is disingenuos of the club to offer refunds as e-cash, thereby forcing the smartcard holder to spend with the club whether they wish to or not.

I think you will find that under the Payment Services Regulation that a full refund is due back to the debit or credit card as stated below:-

'Claim back any overpaid recurring payments

However, under the Payment Services Regulations you can claim back wrongly taken payments, plus ask for interest on top (both any extra you paid out if you ended up borrowing money, and interest you could have earned).

The regulations set a time limit of 13 months to be able to claim back unauthoruised transactions.'

Can you please clarify?

The credit of the card payment fee is a gesture of goodwill by the club, as the website does state clearly that the charge is per ticket purchased when signing up to the ACS - although, as confirmed elsewhere, we are looking at bringing this in line with the fans purchasing outside of the ACS.
