Which is why it’s so much dependent on luck over skill. It would be better if everyone had to start with the same guess word, something that isn’t workable obviously.

This would increase the chances of people making similar scores. Personally, I don’t get involved with the league and challenge myself and the missus each day using a different starting word each day without any particular strategy in hard mode. I see it as part of the fun of the challenge. I don’t look at the comments page until after I have finished.
