It’s a shame kids just can’t be kids and enjoy their early years where time seems to go so slowly, unlike when you get older and it flashes past. My own childhood was blighted by the threat of nuclear war and mutually assured destruction. Coming home from school and watching “Protect and Survive” on the public information broadcasts was horrible as was seeing my Dad filling our cellar with water containers and tinned goods for when the inevitable happened. Thats all you saw on three TV channels and whatever newspapers your parents bought. These days Social media and the MSM expose our children to far more than they should have to contend with at an early age. There’s nothing wrong with having a social conscience, being aware of the injustices in the world and making your feelings known, but leave the under 16’s to have a childhood. Plenty of time in 6th form debating societies for that.

This is all just a personal opinion, I’m not looking to start an argument.
