Come on, nip in and steal him!

Peterborough boss Barry Fry is hoping to clinch the signing of Nigerian international Christopher Kanu.

The 24-year-old defender is the brother of Arsenal forward Nwankwo Kanu and Fry is hoping to land the younger sibling this week.

Fry will have talks with Kanu and his agent before his team's friendly against Arsenal at London Road on Friday, when the two brothers could face one another.

Kanu played 45 minutes for Posh in a 6-3 pre-season win at Hitchin Town when he impressed the Peterborough camp.

He has had spells at Ajax and Inter Milan but wants to move to England with Fry eager to secure a deal.

"Christopher will come down with his agent and I will try and do a deal for him to stay at Posh," said Fry.

"He looked comfortable and strong on the ball at Hitchin and it would be great if we can secure his services."

If Peterborough can afford deals like this surely we bloody can DK?
