just finished "A Flock of Ships" by Brian Callison ....rivetting , 2nd world war cat and mouse activity with the British merchant navy and German u-boats .....very good.

No Expenses Spared ......a blow by blow account of the exposé of politicians rinsing the system .....a real eye opener as to the type of goons we all vote for.

Shake Hands and come out fighting ...L.A.Lawton ...written in 1926 about early boxing champions in Britain and U.S pre Louis ....Dempsey features amongst others

the big short along with margin call and the laundromat .....is/are great films and also a heavy underlining of what is wrong with the planet currently.

i would say its heavy going but definitely worth reading .....you may find it changes how you view the world , depending on what your view is currently. not very "entertaining" but 7.5-8 / 10 for all round info.....i doubt i would read it again although i probably should.

Have you read Sapiens , a brief history of humankind.....hard going but most explanatory as to how we find ourselves in the mess we are in.

i'm currently flicking through the viz annuals from 15 &16 for a bit of light relief after ploughing through the follow up to shantaram.....mountain shadow......zzzzzzzzzzz theres 5 weeks of my life i'll never get back ....next will be predator by wilbur smith

not really....less charachters do absorb , but i have a funny feeling things are about to get lively......not as good as shantaram by a long way imo.

i am reading the follow up to shantaram ......it's that boring i only manage 5 pages at a time......zzzzzzzzz
