Definitely- I started running at 60, and got a half marathon PB last year (aged 67) of 1:41. So I reckon with some consistent training you can still do it!

Ollie Garrod? - yes I saw the interview. He's got the most first finishes globally I think. At least he knows no-one can take that record from him now...

I think it's a bit of an own goal from Parkrun. There's massive negative backlash on social media - all the FB Parkrun groups etc. They've not only failed to take the heat out of the debate on gender and self-id (which I suspect was their intention), but have drawn its attention to many...

Loving the new table @Curious Orange Hoping that an imminent birthday will help me inch up towards that coveted old git’s top spot, but I think my chances of ever catching GNT are pretty minimal

Sorry 😢 Didn’t see this. Haven’t been on NSC for a bit. Would have been up for it. Sounds as if it was a great event - next time?

Well done to all the NSCers who ran the BM, and those who provided nourishment to the runners. I ran the Paris marathon on Sunday (signed up back when the BM was in doubt), and absolutely loved it. Massive event (51k finishers), amazing route through all the landmarks of Paris and a good crowd...

Great day at Brighton Half for the old git club. Got round in 1:41:17, which is a two minute PB, and my first HM PB in four years. Never thought I’d get another one at 67, so quite chuffed with that. Perfect conditions, chilly, sunny and only a few cold gusts. Great atmosphere as always

Old git news from me was a Parkrun PB at Preston Park, my first PB for four years, at 21:44, taking my AG up to 78.6%. Quite pleased with that as I had thought my PB days were long gone.

I seem to have slipped a place for some reason in this latest version. My current SB is 22:28 and 75.37%, from Preston Park on 25 June

Good to see you doing your bit (again) Simgull. I went down to the event village at Stanmer to cheer some of my running mates doing the marathon and the 10k. Certainly, all of the participants I know gave really positive feedback (apart from some complaints about a bottleneck just after the...

Well done to all the weakest linkers. Sounds as if it was a great evening and, judging by my Strava feed, most of the Brighton running world took part. Good to see Simgull at Preston Park today. And knocky1, can I request a small table tweak please? 22:28 at PP this morning gives me 75.37%...

Another update to the table please, when you or knocky1 gets a moment. 22:35 at Preston Park this morning gets me a 74.98% AG which should move me up a place or two 🙂. Gutted not to get 75%, so all still to play for in the old git stakes

Thanks knocky1. What order is the table in, now? If it’s 2022 AG, it doesn’t look quite right (at least in the part of the table I’m interested in 🙂)
