My partner ran for Pheonix and won herself a bottle of wine and a trophy, sounds like a nice event.

I got GFA in 2017 and a few days later London Marathon changed the qualifying time from sub 3:05 to sub 3:00. I had planned to do VLM as my last marathon and then chuck it in.

568 m, basically a third of a mile? How on earth does that happen. I would be a bit pissed off to see 26.2 on my watch without the finish line even being within sight. What does that mean for people who want to get Good for Age for London?

Finished the 10k in 40:26 - not been at my fittest for a long time so happy with that and I think it has spurred me on to give the Marathon another shot in 2022.

I would love to know how that is even possible. Did you have matching bikes? I hope it wasn't a target event for the other athlete!

Thanks GNT. I think multi-sport events have been the savior of my overall fitness because I don't think it would be possible for me to get back to slogging it out for purely long distance running events again. All those miles of running back and forth along the seafront don't feel that appealing...

I no longer run in anger as an injury/illness laid me off for 9 months but did complete my first Olympic distance triathlon on Sunday in 1 hour 37 and taking part in Cardiff HM as a fun run in a few weeks. Can no longer find it in me to be competitive and just signing up to events for the...

Anyway I will say I was majorly depressed about my health issues and not being able to run but stepping back away from it my life is so much more well rounded and I'm at least 50% happier probably aided by the cold water swimming.

I basically don't run anymore after having a heart scare, all about the swimming now. Will never get that sub 3 marathon but hopefully will complete brighton tri, very slowly. Still not decided on standard or sprint but either way it will be slow.

Took part in a inter company relay triathlon today but only helped out with the run which was a half marathon distance. We won it by 9 seconds, and I got close to 5 minute miling on the track (with long rest periods) which I was pretty chuffed about. Never really believed I would get this...

Just because I'm curious about how these sessions work how do they split people according to 5k/10k times? Do they have a group of people at 6m/mi 5k and 6.20m/mi 10k times run together or do people just settle on their own target times?

My chip time for Ealling was 1:24:40 so a massive PB for me by 4 minutes. My friends also got a sub 1:20:00 so it was a good day all around. Despite the time I've felt wiped out all week and my thighs had no energy in them thought about stopping early at various points but very happy with the...

Knocky are you a recent sign up to arena 80? Might see you there next month. Although I went along to the cross fit gym near Shoreham Port this evening and tempted to put some focus into that before starting BM training in January as I think it will help my stamina for both running and swimming.

I was meant to be going to the Arena 80 AC Induction but had to pull out due to a work commitment, have signed up for the next one though in a months time. Will be running Ealing in a week from Sunday hoping to better my 1h 28m from last year. Any other NSCers signed up for that one?

What time and where is everyone meeting? Is there storage for bags or not? I'll come along but a bit trepidatious about being in the super ego team as I'd be happy with a sub 21 min 5k at the moment. I won't be offended if I get bumped.

Hi knocky thanks for the nudge on Strava although I haven't run consistently since the marathon and have been boozing at festivals and holidays for the last two weeks and not run at all so I'm not sure how much use I'll be. Stuggle to believe I can run a 5k in much under 21 mins at the moment so...
