It’s less about the hours and more about the intensity of the work from a physiological perspective……if they’re being asked to do a relatively high % of training (cumulatively) full-on (as is rumoured to be the case at least) then the propensity to get injured goes up exponentially.

Sounds like Fergie has had a problem since Newcastle - given how he’s struggled not a surprise to hear that. Hope the op does the job. Pervis has done calf muscle according to the press conference so usual 4-6 weeks for that (even a G1 or G2) ends his season.
