Thanks but it's ok, I'm not that bothered (about gardening) it was just the recommended plant.
The Tamarisk will be fine I just would like it a bit higher!!!!
Well it's there now so it can crack on.
As I'm a stones throw from the sea it turns out Tamarisk's are everywhere but are all rather unruly.
I do like them but as said I would like it more tree than bush - hence the question.
I have an Acer in the back garden, which for the first year actually...
Last Autumn I dug an old tired budleija (sp) out of my front garden that was acting as a nice barrier between me and the outside world.
When asking for a replacement I was told Orange Blossom.
None of the GC's I went too had OB, but the label attached to a Tamarisk twig said 'this is what you...
This morning I have mostly been mowing the lawn!!
Now before all you 'know nothings' tell me I'm wrong to do such a thing on 23.12, let me explain.
A - My penultimate mow used up a lot of mowers.
2 - I was unable to source another mower before the last mow window closed.
C - My neighbour did...
2 things to report:-
A - the insect free zone that is La Jardin du Stat appears to have a Red Admiral butterfly finally move in - which is nice.
&
2 - clearly upset about the love Pinky was getting Yellowy (the naming policy needs some attention) has popped out for some glory.
I have an aged buddleia about 3ft from my front room window.
At some point last year, our first year together, I took it right back to a couple of inches from the lawn.
As expected it's come back fine and does a great job separating the street beyond from my front room.
But as said the problem...
Yeah probably spent most time riding around there, square off from A24 to A3M up to Cranleigh, some good routes (on roads you don't know about!!).
Difficult to get there without going through Goodwood, one way or the other.
What's this then (the stripy flower at the bottom is a different thing)
It's popping up in random places all over the garden, so I assume it's a weed, but the leaves are nice.
Despite my obvious expertise, I'm rather reluctant.
The plan for out of sight (out of mind) has always been to cop out.
Gonna throw that area over to insect friendly wild plants and flowers.
At the moment it's just livid.
