The Haringey fans were great and sang throughout. Several unique songs , the one you mention plus ‘Hurry Up Harry’ renamed ‘Haringey Borough’, and ‘Get off of my cloud’ rejigged for their player Mick McCloud.
A very friendly and welcoming club. Their fans expected them to be heavily defeated...
I went to Lewes’ final game up in Haringey with @Hamilton and Pogue Junior, who lives in north London and goes to Haringey Borough with mates quite often.
4-0 to Lewes and it could have been many more. Haringey were unbelievably bad.
The Lewes v Worthing game a couple of years ago was a sell out at 2300, which was great, but didn’t feel overly packed.
I am away, so missed the game yesterday, along with the opportunity to give @jackalbion a slap.
A really interesting read as always, Stewart. I am loving hearing about your travels - I feel inspired to visit some of these places - particularly Roffey (I had no idea where Roffey was before this).
What’s up with your camera, though?
🙂
Lewes v Potters Bar was fun yesterday.
Potters Bar were reduced to ten men in about the tenth minute after a firm kick to the face of Archie Tamplin. I felt sorry for the bloke - he clearly didn’t mean to do it and obviously felt awful.
Lewes then went two up before another Potters Bar player...
Awful game in atrocious conditions. We didn’t deserve to win on the balance of play, but there you go.
Their number 7 (who hit the post in the first half and the bar in the second) was the best player on the pitch, I think.
