Try not to let it bother you, but easier said than done. On my run on saturday (10 miles) I overtook an older gentleman who took offence that i ran past him - he was on the pavement and i went onto the road - but he still shouted at me about the 2 metre rule. It pissed me off to be honest as i...

Can't see London or Brighton going ahead. They don't need to make a decision until closer to the time, as they will follow government guidelines, which at the moment are carry on as normal. This will no doubt change over the next few weeks and it is still over 4 weeks until Brighton and London.

I have the London marathon the week after, can't see either going ahead at this stage.

That's just an amazing time, well done. (I missed your post early when I asked about your time!)

The baggage could have been worse, thought it was well organised overall and with that many numbers they need to get people in the pens as soon as possible. Definitely didn't take the racing line - as you say with that many people it is a case of weaving in and out. What time did you get Artie...

Ran the London Half yesterday, finished with official time of 1:44:54 which is a new PB from last weeks! Really pleased to get under the 1:45 mark. Although just didn't enjoy it as much as Brighton Half, not sure why. Went off too fast for the first 4 miles, then had to recalculate my pace...

I actually managed a PB in yesterdays conditions, not really sure how, as I was struggling running into the wind. But my legs felt alright after 10 miles and I thought I would just go for it it for the final 3 miles with the wind behind me. Was averaging around 8/8.15 mins per mile, then the...

Same as a few others on here, was looking to have a go at a pb but no chance with the weather, plus the fact I am still shifting this cold. Hope we are not running into the wind too much.

Will be doing the Half again, but passing on the Marathon. Ran it earlier this year and 2 years ago - both times I struggled and out of the 6 marathons I have run these are the slowest 2. Also the 2 where i have been most injured afterwards. Not sure why that is the case, maybe I pushed too...

I ran the Nottingham Christmas Marathon on Saturday...it was so cold. 9 laps of Holme Peirpoint, it was damp, icy and freezing fog. My attempt was for a sub 4 hour marathon, didn't make that but did get a pb in 4-06-25. Really pleased with the pb but disappointed with not getting under 4...

Did my first ever parkrun/5k on Saturday, can see how people get addicted to parkruns! Please with my time of 22:36 and 61.28% age grade, was hoping for under 24 minutes, next aim is for under 22 which will be very tough. Then on Sunday did my LSR of 15 miles in 2hrs 20 which was a nice steady...

What should the recovery time/distance be between each 800? I am guessing a gentle jog for 400 meters? I am hoping it can give me the confidence to attempt the 9min mile pace for 26.2 miles, - in reality that might not happen, but worth a go!

I was reading about Yasso 800s the other week, trying to work it out for a predicted marathon time of 4hrs, so doing 800 meters in 4 minutes. Has anyone else tried these and are they effective? The idea being if you can run the Yasso 800's at your time, you should be able to predict your...

London Marathon ballot, apparently you can log into your realbuzz account and if there is a bib number you are in. Not sure how true it is, but if you have a bib number the signs look good. They don't look good for me!

Milton Keynes Marathon for me yesterday. The course is a bit meh, and the stadium finish is a bit shit to be honest, but enjoyed it all the same. Finished in 4-16-27 which is less than 90 seconds off my bp. I had my knee in an ice pack every night for a week leading up to the race and wasn't...

Enjoyed yesterdays Brighton Marathon, but didn't go to plan for me. Wanted a sub 4 hours and the first half I was doing around 9 minutes per mile, but around 16 miles my hamstring hurt and stopped me running, couldn't actually run anymore and had to walk slow jog the final 10 miles. I thought...

I completed the Barcelona marathon on Sunday, hadn't felt great leading up to the race, but on the sunday morning I felt ok and thought I would just go for it. Really struggled from 15 miles and stopped for a couple of minutes near mile 18. Managed a pb with a time of 4-15-15 which I am really...
