I tried some seeds last year on a small area of lawn I cut ..without success…I’ve just ordered some meadow plant plugs for the front to add to the area I’ve left uncut

Well done…did you sow yellow rattle seed or use plugs?

Yesterday I Planted out a lot of bare rooted field maple, wild privet and rosa rugosa …….part way through this one turned up….so close that you could have bent down and stroked it……first made off with a ball of twine …a few of my plants …then tried a heavy mallet 👀

Agreed…however me and my mowers need a rest and won’t be doing that until March …I made sure most places were cut to a good length before I stopped at the end of last month

Amazing the difference a week makes .the grass in Buckingham Park Shoreham has been looking like a well worn cricket strip ..passed by today and it’s a lush green

Great for the bees….can get woody if you dont prune Alternative Ive used this hebe to create a low hedge …you could even mix in with sage to give it an additional shade

How tall are you…only it would effect the knee height measurement Ps I wouldn’t plant anything until you sort out the fencing….and then I would wait until late Autumn at least before planting
