I have the endorphin Pro (carbon plate) that I bought for race days (before getting injured!) and when I've used them they felt fantastic. I hate the NB 1080v10s that I've tried out as my current workhorse and was looking to switch to endorphin shift or speed. Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk

Not sure if it's even full but I have a number for the Goodwood Half this Sunday (6th) if anyone is interested?

First run in these today and very impressed, felt like having springs in my shoes (funny that) and really encouraged a high cadence. Unfortunately a new injury niggle limited me to 20 minutes so I really hope I'll get to use them in anger one day!

Just tried them on. Very very comfy! I'm tempted to use on my long run tomorrow but know that might be a little premature! Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk

My pair of these arriving today - https://www.saucony.com/UK/en_GB/men%27s-endorphin-pro/44571M.html I was put off the vaporfly by the colour available and the "everyone has Nike" desire to be a bit different - the saucony received great reviews as the best competitor to Nike. These will be my...

Richmond Marathon Have bitten the bullet and entered the Richmond Marathon in March - https://www.richmondrunfest.co.uk/ Hoping that's far enough away not to be affected by COVID. Now I just need to resist the training urge so I get to the start line (unlike the other 4 marathons I entered!)

Thanks. They had to move from the usual course in the NF to a new course around an estate deeper into Dorset - lots of complaints/surprise from those I spoke to about how much harder this course was than the usual one! Only 13 people under 1:30 this year and 2/3rds field over 2 hours -...

New Forest HM - much harder than expected. Nearly all on farm tracks around the outside of fields, uneven trails, lumpy grass. Also nearly 200m of elevation gain and very hot. Completely exploded at 11m which reflects course toughness and my recent mileage. Was on for sub 1:30 to that point...

Interesting to see how they deal with the field of that size. For the New Forest HM on Sunday we are all assigned start time pens (over the course of an hour) and have to pass 1 by 1 through the start gate at 2 metre intervals!

New Balance 1080v10 First run today with the New Balance 1080v10 (thanks Artie for the recommendation). Obviously they need a bit of breaking in but first impressions are good - quick and very responsive for an "all round" shoe. Not a lot of cushioning so felt fairly firm under foot and I had...

Hopefully here next week. The new forest HM is in a couple of weeks and is primarily gravel/tracks so I'd like to break in the 1080s in case I want to use them in preference to by Flyknit zooms - not sure about a carbon plate on that kind of course.

Based on this I've plumped for some 1080v10s for my everyday shoe - interested to see how NB are having never run in them before. Next up is a new 10k-HM/M racing shoe - might hold out for the saucony endorphic pros!

Back to it after a 3 week injury/holiday break. Just got a place in the new forest half on 20th September so hoping to ease up the volume over the next couple of weeks. Interested in the shoe chats - I've always been an asics man but looking to switch. My Nike fly knit zoom 2s are fast but give...

I would re-iterate that. My Garmin watch has had my VO2 solidly at 56 or 57 since february in which time I'm running 2-3 minutes quicker for a 10k! On the other hand, those gains may be shortlived as I rolled my ankle on Monday and haven't been able to walk properly, let alone run, since then!

Had another crack at the 5k this morning to just sneak under 19 with a 18:57. The Howard grubb link has this as 71.86%. Is that the correct calculation for the table? Sent from my SM-G981B using Tapatalk

Went out for a blast today from standing start. Wind was very tough but managed to clock these times on the way to a 39:11 10k. Bit gutted to just miss the 19 minute mark and the 70% for 5k. Hamstrings are super tight now though! 1st Mile - 5:58 (65.31%) 1st 3k - 11:15 (68.46%) 1st 5k -...
