It did seem to me like he was poking the bear after the embassy attack. He knows that the U.S won't fail to wade in if Iran attacks Israel in any sustained way. "We appreciate the US standing alongside Israel, as well as the support of Britain, France and many other countries." I just can't...

Does anyone get the feeling that this is what Netanyahu wanted all along ?

How about explaining your reasons for disagreeing rather than putting silly laugh emojis on poster's entries. It's childish.

I'm listened to a lot of Yanis. His book about the inner workings of the EU, from his own experience, is eye opening. He just explains thing in a calm and evidenced based way. He's hard to dismiss as an extremist, which causes a few struggles in some quarters. I met him in Brighton once.

Would encourage folk to read up on items from groups like HRH and Amnesty https://www.hrw.org/middle-east/north-africa/israel/palestine https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2024/02/israel-defying-icj-ruling-to-prevent-genocide-by-failing-to-allow-adequate-humanitarian-aid-to-reach-gaza/

I think it's important that when you band about accusations of racism they are substantiated. I have seen no racism in this thread. But that is not to say I am correct. Can you let me/us know what you consider as racism towards Jews ? I say you because you would doubtless be able to find...

I don't agree with you on this one mate. I've really felt that I'm learning something when reading @Zeberdi entries here. If his referenced and clearly humanitarian posts wind people up it is they who need to look at themselves and why their issue with experienced and educated reason is a...

When you see the maps of destruction it's hard to see how any folk could cope there. It's quite shocking.

War crimes are relative to the eyes of the beholder. Like most things in life, even football. People will argue on the basis of self or tribal interest.

Yes, it does rather seem that the minority seem to be taking up the majority of your discourse.

Splendid. Although I'm not well disposed towards Uranus lovers. They talk out their backsides.

Why do we care ? Would be my response. Someone could wave the flag of Uranus for all it bothers me. Actually, I've not seen that one before.

However: BBC Canon Richard Sewell, the dean of St George's College in Jerusalem, told the BBC that about 1,000 displaced people were sheltering in the courtyard when it was hit, and about 600 patients and staff were inside the building. So the truth is- We are unlikely to ever know the truth.

There are a few points here, and all feed into internet rumour. My first thought was what a crude and evil thing to do. My brain assumed an air strike. But then I immediately thought that we should wait for evidence on that. Remember, neither that chap who is spokesman for the Israeli military...

Chose not to comment on this one. A direct strike on a hospital would be a pretty horrific act with huge ramifications for any aggressor. Either that or a monumental error. Whoever is responsible, the only thing we can say is that this has to stop- now. This is pure evil.

Yes, not good. Although the BBC have been far more reasonable and rational in their reporting than most. Although I am a BBC fan and often get slated for it.

I'm not sure that declaring Jerusalem as Israel's capital and the plans to shift the embassy there helped the peace process. Neither did lauding Hezbollah. I think you need to go a bit further into your memory on that one.
