    No chance of cherries. Pigeons and blackbirds will strip it bare before you have got out of bed. That's what they do to mine.

    My Corvette plants have been in for ages, produced a couple of flowers but still no fruit (or veg?). Can I do anything to get them going?

    According to the seed pack of St George runner beans I have in front of me, sow indoors April to June, outdoors May to June. Plant out indoor raised crop in June. Harvest August to September.

    Over two weeks in June the grow bags and pots will probably dry out - especially if the weather is hot and the bags are in the sun. It depends how big the pots and bags are. Group them together in shade if possible and water thoroughly before you go, and you might get away with it. Better still...
