There is at least one film made of it, really good watch, part documentary, part dramatisation, with Vrba interviewed. I believe the two protagonists fell out in the end as the other guy didn't agree with Vrba's constant publicity seeking over the story.
'Little Bird of Auschwitz' by Alina and Jacques Petetti.
Of the 26,564 books I've read on the Holocaust, this is possibly the best. Ends with the Covid 19 pandemic in London, dementia and a tear in my eye. Beautifully written.
Blur's Alex James about life on his Cotswolds farm. A seriously peachy read.
Before that 'Stars, Cars and Crystal Meth,' a biography of some bloke whose name I can't remember. A seriously peachy read.
Graham Coxon’s just released ‘Verse, Chorus, Monster!’
A tale of anxiety, loneliness, low self esteem, alcoholism, and a love letter to Blighty, boot fairs, Kent the ‘garden of England’ and vintage Triumph motorbikes.

24 year old SBS soldier shot through the neck in Afghanistan and rendered quadriplegic. Inspirational autobiography.
Loved it, but I’m a sucker for any ‘Mexican’ stuff :). Very much true to the real experience of desperate Central American migrants trying to find a better life, the awful journeys on La Bestia et al.
Anatomy of a Soldier by Harry Parker.
Wasn't convinced about this book when it was first leant to me, but with just a couple of chapters remaining I'm really sorry to be finishing it. A fictionalised account of when British army captain Parker stepped on an IED in Afghanistan, the lead up and...
They Don’t Teach This - Eniola Aluko
Really good read imho. How Mark Sampson was ever allowed anywhere near the England women’s team, his weird side-to-side rapid eye movements in the first seconds of this interview. Really creepy.
Matthew Perry autobiography. There’s addiction and there’s off-the-scale addiction like his. How he got through filming Friends is quite something.
Next up, Woody Woodmansey’s ‘My Life With Bowie’
It’s a constant battle against picking up a device instead, retraining the brain to be able to do this shit. Baths are a good way, reading a book in the bath. I always have to finish reading on a multiple of 10 due to low-level OCD, so page 30, 40, 50 etc. Sometimes I set myself a 50 page...
