The absence of a workable solution doesn't mean on is impossible in the future. It may take many years and many steps forward and backwards. The first step though is a ceasefire. Surely we can all with our absolute certainty, agree on that.

To clarify I understood what you were saying, it didn't need clarifying (not speaking for the other but I am guessing they are the same. I also stand by my comment with no back tracking.

About a 1/4 of the world may well have said the same about England for many hundreds of years. Stupid thing to say though.

I don't like to discuss too many things at once, it gets confusing. What are the chem trails dropping on us? Why won't you answer the question?

Why do I need an alternate search engine? Surely you can just tell me and post a link? This is the weird part about conspiracy theorists. They are never confident enough in their knowledge to share it with anyone. Red flag.

Surely being wrong and clueless aren't that far away from each other? What's in the chem trails?

Cooking dinner at the moment but does that demonstrate support for the UK/us bombing action? That's different to what I read earlier.

I understand your point I just don't find it a compelling arguement against seeking consideration and support from the wider community (both locally and internationally). I will always err on the side of caution and hope that all alternate avenues, idea and options have been exhausted before...

I guess the Iraq war did go through parliament so perhaps my faith in that process is misplaced. Howeve I would like processes in place to make sure that this action is the correct one. Though the British parliament, the UN and the coalition set up for this purpose. This way I will feel more...

    [News] Hamas/Gaza/Israel

Not really sure I believe in the concept of a 'clean shoot'. From what I have read this action sits outside the coalition formed to deal with the problem. I guess we see what comes out in the wash. Right now I feel very uncomfortable and mistrusting about the whole situation. Edit - after...

    [News] Hamas/Gaza/Israel

Personally I would like to feel confident that the UK's involvement in this was backed by the process and approval of the international coalition created to deal with the situation in Yemen. Additionally and most importantly I would like to feel confident that this action was taken with...

Yep, totally agree. Shameful behaviour by some posters on this thread.

    [News] Hamas/Gaza/Israel

I think we can all agree that the solution to this is unlikely to come from the UN. Israel have been ignoring them and their human rights council for a long time (with the support of the US). Pressure needs to be placed on the US to pressure Israel. Does anyone expect this to come from the UK...

    [News] Hamas/Gaza/Israel

A couple of posters seem to pass up the opportunity for said condemnation ( I may have missed it of course). There also seems to be a fair narrative criticising those who are calling for a ceasefire, although to be fair not so much on this thread. But enough for me to wonder if we are all on...

I was wondering this when they talked about the fighting continuing for most of 2024. Even if the goal was to kill everyone, it couldn't take this long.

    [News] Hamas/Gaza/Israel

It is also easy to argue that Netanyahu's policies and actions over the last how ever many years have made the actions of 7th October inevitable. His support of Hama's at their outset provides part of the evidence for this. Obviously adding in walls, checkpoints, limiting supplies and increased...

    [News] Hamas/Gaza/Israel

The longer this goes on the more it looks like Israel is taking this opportunity with both hands to reach the end game of finally destroying the two party solution for good. Well let's call it what it is, genocide.

    [News] Hamas/Gaza/Israel

As we play the numbers game with a focus on innocent lives being lost it surely becomes a no brainer that a cease fire is the most humanitarian and logical short term goal. Although earlier in the thread they couldn't bring themselves to condemn the Israeli killings, surely even the Israel...
