[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2023/24 Edition

Great news as Borough stayed up. Looked dead and buried at one point but Adam Murray has really changed the team around. 11 points from their last 5 games is just incredible for a team at the bottom. Poor Taunton probably can't believe it but as great escapes go, this surely has to be one of the...

[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2023/24 Edition

Guessing that must have been the season they both went up. Both teams were superb that year and a massive shame that Lewes had the financial issues and went straight back down. I remember it was neck and neck until Borough threw it away picking up 6 points in their last 8 games whilst Lewes won...

[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2023/24 Edition

Every time I open this thread I'm always in awe of the non-league scene in England and how much I miss it. There's just nowhere else in the world that compares.

In fairness he was too good for the Conference South at Borough. Not surprised he's too good for the step below!

Just out of curiosity, what were the reasons against? Football wise I can sort of understand it, but non sporting wise?

Correct. Match fee will most likely be more than contracted players too.

Borough's finishing has been woeful since they've turned professional. Credit to Worthing though, they are absolutely flying at the moment.

Unbelievable crowd. Glad that Borough got that yesterday and a win to go with it. Hopefully the start of something good!

Same team. They've just had about 5 name changes It's super confusing. KSK Beveren are translated as Royal Sport Club Beveren and they are 'amateur' (in quotations because who doesn't like a brown envelope these days) and SK Beveren are the pro team, translated as Sport Club Beveren and are...

I could be tempted to go to Beveren. Only a couple hours from me.

Borough is still a really nice club and I suspect if Town or United were in the NLS he would have invested in them instead. However, Priory Lane is a fantastic setup and has been for years.

They have made some excellent signings for the level they're playing at, but they have almost replaced the whole team barring 2 or 3 players. Mark Beard has a big job on his hands but if he gets them all playing, it could be a very good year.

Should be interesting for EBFC. The new owner (as they all do) is saying the right things and the new kits by Errea are very nice. Got a big sponsor too for the level they're playing at. Ex Albion Yasir Kasim has also just signed for them.
