I know, but the NSC’er was asking specifically about the P&L account. Did the £122.8m come before or after TB’s loan repayment?
Before. Capital transactions are accounted for on the balance sheet, except in example exceptional circumstances.
It’s not.
A dividend is a distribution of post tax profits.
A loan repayment merely transfers cash from the bank to the loan account. Solely on the balance sheet.
The question was “Wonder if the £122m profit is after TB has had some repayment?” Clearly a question about the P&L, enquiring...
Is that the first time PL due diligence has actually done something tangible? I don’t count the Saudis as the PL eventually bottled it.
A cynic might say, to discourage parliamentary regulation.
I had a look a few weeks ago following a link on grandoldteam to an excellent article, was it by an investigative journalist who knows his financial onions? From memory, they’re loathed by fans, they’ve invested nothing into sporting operations and are just looking to strip big bucks. The...
They’ll regret the 777 foot in the door. Do you remember when Risdale at Leeds effectively mortgaged future (many years) season ticket income? 777 are opportunistic shysters looking for a high return.
I wondered if Falmer villagers whinging made it untenable for artists, the sound off time?
I know some artists loath the Hyde Park power off time.
They’re independent spirits and natural night owls!
Someone who doesn’t follow football asked me that.
So, NSC, why does the Amex no longer hold big concerts?
In the early years we had FBS, a dance music night and Rod Stewart.
I think you follow these things too, a spend of say £50m on the Amex to increase capacity by x thousand, even if corporates, just doesn’t make economic sense. The awful Falmer Station and Lewes line would prevent it anyway. Clubs like CP2010 and us get almost all our income from broadcasting...
Did you spot that UEFA’s identical system becomes 70% from 2025/26? Currently 90%. So in a couple of seasons time, to compete in Europe at all Chelsea, Villa and Everton will have to drastically reduce their wild spending and wages. The 85% won’t be their main concern,
I wonder if most PL...
It depends on Briighton’s next two published accounts, 2022/23 and 2023/24. By all accounts we could be laughing. Then those other two extremely well run clubs LFC and THFC are laughing, they’re run as proper businesses by owners who don’t financial dope.
Whilst Villa, Chelsea and Everton are...
