They've done the transaction. They've submitted that in the accounts.
But as far as i'm aware there has been no confirmation that this transaction or the hotel transaction has been effective for the purposes of circumventing PSR.
Presumably these kind of obvious loopholes would have been...
Got to admit, I don't really know if Everton are screwed or not, but it sounds fun to say it, so I think i'm just going to join in.
Everton are properly screwed aren't they! In all sort of deep doo doo. Maybe a league fixture up against Worthing next year
The other way I look at all this is to ask the question. How many clubs have no PSR / FFP issues at all?
Because it's all very well all these clubs saying they need to sell a player for £30m before July, but the pool of clubs able and willing to spend is very small.
Liverpool? Surely well in...
Even then, i'm not totally convinced.
They were paying a lot more than we were when they got relegated. A player like KDH will likely be thinking, that this is his big career move at age 26 and will be looking for a pay rise.
But this is where the timings for club and player don't marry up...
Very interested to see how Villa plays out.
Also interesting that there's likely to be an unofficial transfer window at the end of June with several clubs having to sell by June 30th and a very limited pool of clubs able to buy unhindered by PSR.
I exclude us from this as I don't see us buying...
Just say we, (and I don't think we will) did go and buy Colwill off them for £40m
That would be the least excited I have got over a big signing, just because it's helping that lot out of trouble
Basically only Colwill and Gallagher who they can sell to help them out of trouble?
Interesting though that Chelsea need the sale by the end of June. Buying teams will be looking through their options around that time, maybe seeing who is making their name in the euros. It would be a mug club...
Sounds good.
I'm a bit of a dunce with this, so should I read that if they are amortising £200m per year, they need to make £95m profit from other sources, I guess day to day profit and player sales, each year to avoid PSR sanctions?
The rules should be stricter in my view.
All the time ticket prices are £40ish and agents are multi millionaires, heat still needs to be taken out of the system
But you said ...
This model is uncompetitive and almost locks everybody into their current status.
Now I don't think it does. It prevents billionaires blowing everyone away. Had there been no PSR rule in place, who knows, we may have seen Newcastle in for Mbappe, Bellingham etc. PIF has...
Chelsea, Leicester Forst etc, we know about.
Villa? Surely £100m for Grealish will keep them safe for a bit
Leeds. Now i'll keep my eye out there.
I'm always quite surprised Man U aren't there. Now I know they have a massive commercial operation, but their player spending has been eye...
