Its wasn't not just the lockdown, it was the overall approach.
There were so many things where the approach from the top was laissez faire, I recall facemasks weren't made mandatory in public spaces till July 2020.
To be fair if we'd had Cameron or May in charge the outcome would have been better. But Johnson was the worse PM at the worse possible time, boosterism doesn't work in a global pandemic.
Even after he nearly died of the virus he was still to have allegedly said "let the bodies pile high"...
Yeah like missing all those cobra meetings because his book advance was in danger.
Still amazes me he was as popular as he was in the early days of pandemic, he was responsible for ten of thousands of unnecessary deaths. My own family lives with the legacy of his chaotic governance
