No, I think we all accept that the initiation of all this was unacceptable and required a response. I was referring to Israel’s decision to send in its army, on top of its random bombing, and complain when they get killed.
Well, I’m sure we can all be proud with that!
the way Israel have gone about this is just dreadful, even down to a lot of their politicians wearing black shirts. They’ve been bleating about the loss of 200 soldiers - Jesus, how many innocent civilians have been killed?

Get the UN to bang some heads together, stop the massacres, renegotiate just who owns what in the region and get the UN to manage it. The U.K. and UN got it wrong last time - they should have split the whole lot down the middle and recognised each as independent states.
Yes, I do, but that’s no reason to kill innocent people and kids.
In fact it’s now been proven that their “shields” don’t work, so we should probably stop referring to them as such.
Which begs the question why were they all sent there when they could have been bombed at home?
The only analogy I can come up with for all this is the police shooting a crowd of people dead because they think one of them might be a murderer.
The UN created some of this mess and subsequently washed their hands of it. It’s about time they got themselves involved in trying to sort out the humanitarian issues here.
Katya Adler has just done apiece on Jeremy Vine’s show that summed up the issues between Israel and Palestine very well. Neither side came out smelling of roses. Banging your head a against a brick comes to mind.
