Totally agree. Thought Warren was an idiot on a few levels in that interview. For example he brought up the topic at the very start of the piece then claimed Simon Jordan did.
You say “drop down”. I have never been totally convinced by Fury’s greatness and see them more as equals. and a fight would go some way to determining their public ranking.
True. Let Usyk defend the belt they want to take away. Fury fights AJ, then Fury Usyk rematch. I’d like to see AJ Fury so we can gauge exactly where Fury sits in the hall of heavyweight boxers.
Possibly. I guess the problem is that it took so long to make last night’s fight, then it was postponed for another 4 months due to Fury’s cut. Other contenders will then have to wait a further 9 months or so to get a crack at one of the belts. That’s well over a year, almost 2, with no one...
It’s unfair on other challengers though. The sensible approach is for both fighters to have other fights, then get back to this afterwards. Doubt this will happen though.
Whereas Usyk and his team have conducted themselves with grace all the way through the games Fury and his mob have played. Usyk is a winner on many levels tonight. I’m really pleased for him.
As I said last time, these Saudi fights have really shone a light on the heavyweight division. Usyk is the man, Fury’s CV doesn’t look as good and AJ’s looks better.
