Interesting article about why we stop exploring music and get stuck in the 'new music is shit' way of...
What I like about listening to new music is jumping down a rabbit hole. Listening to Wet Leg has lead to to explore Momma and Kate Bollinger, going to jump further down the rabbit hole on my four hour drive today. Well sharing with some drum and bass and various house/dubstep etc from the boy.
You watched the video then, chances is what I like about them. Great story of trying for years sperately and then getting together, doing something for fun and it blowing up. I like that about them.
Never a fan of level 42, so I would take Wet Leg over them.
I've been given the Wet Leg a proper go over the last few days and am really enjoying it. I had it somewhat confused with the Dry Cleaning album I bought a while ago and kind of lost interest in.
Enjoyed this youtube documentary too
And found this cover of the Chats
I would take Wet Leg and Fontaines over Whitney every and any day of the week (and I don't really like Fontaines that much). See also Dry Cleaning, DMAs, The Bug Club, the list goes on. Most of them I would take over Duran Duran although I am a sucker from some of their tunes. Of we are taking...

Cool thank you. FWIW here are mine (although constantly changing).
The Cure
Ride
Stone Roses
The Charlatans
The Jam
The Beatles
Beastie Boys
De La Soul
The Specials
Talking Heads
Each to their own and all that but I find this a bit strange.
Music is totally there to be experienced in its time. The times it is around is the context of the music itself. One without the other is for me at least incomplete.
Many sons I love are because they soundtracked some important...
Nearly everyone's favourite music decade is the one when they were youths. This is because we are more in tune with those times and we are primed for discovering music. For most of us it was everywhere and soundtracks our lives when the world was new and exciting. Songs and albums were a shared...
Quite, there is good stuff around at the moment.my 18 year old listens to some really excellent drum and bass, dub step and many other similar genres.
Some good indie stuff about too. The albums thread on here is always a good place to start.
Modern pop music doesn't sound as good as pop...
My Missus played me a couple of Harry Styles songs this morning.
S'alright I suppose.
I just hope to god that Beyonce wins something, I am not sure how much more disappointment she and her pals can take!!
