Went to fork in lewes last night and it was a good recommendation. Food was very good, wine very nice. I had egg nog (egg nog martini) for the first time in my forty odd years in this earth. The bad reviews on trip advisor basically can be summed up as “you get two hours and they tell you”...

Something like it you have steak it might have ecoli on the outside but cooking kills it - with mince the bacteria is mixed so ends up in the middle of the burger (meatball etc) and if raw then it isn’t destroyed. I think the US standards are so awful (most eggs have salmonella in for example)...

I’ve been watching loads of programs about how americas food standards are so awful that this would be really dangerous there, we are pretty lucky tbh but it has put me off raw mince (I’m 100% for blue/rare steak)

I don’t know what it is called but I went to a place near Brighton uni, might have been something to do with compasses as I was in the east room of something. There were long queues for the food, the pies quite good but the hotdogs pretty jank and no ketchup or mustard to be seen anywhere.
