Just echoing the thoughts from my fellow dog-loving NSCers @pasty - the next week will be tough for you but you also know it’s for the best - you’ll never stop loving her - stay strong
We had always had labradors but my soft wife, when chatting to a guy who runs a local kennels, was introduced to Java - who he was housing for a local dog rescue charity(this was early November 2022). Needless to say by just over a month later Java was with us. She had originally been rescued...
He looks gorgeous @Zeberdi - just think of all the pleasure you will have no doubt had with him - time for him to have a rest. Positive memories are the key 🥲
Always tragic and even more so when still relatively young. Whilst our first two labs made it to a good age the third died suddenly aged 9. Mrs Corner swore blind we were never having another. Two dogs later…..
Nice touch to bring Jess back for your other dog to see her.
Just remember all the...

Good luck🥲
You have my sympathy and best wishes. I’m on my 4th labrador - the first two we lost died of old age really but the third was only 9 and went suddenly without us with him(operation) which was worse. You made the right decision, very painful for you and your family but better for him ultimately...
