No we were the first school year to get hammered as my NRA is 66 as well. Metal detectors are a bit pricey but it depends on how serious you want to take it to be honest. You can get a decent second hand one for about £350.00 then you need all the bits that go with it, Pinpointer, shovel etc etc...
