cant find it now but I read a twitter thread yesterday about how limited Russian training is in comparison to that of Western forces. it seemed to suggest standard training is very basic indeed then once that's out of the way off they go

Does sound promising but only yesterday they were reiterating their previous complete demilitarisation demands. If the last couple of days of promised ceasefires to allow evacuation tell us anything it's to not take these Russian statements at face value until they back them up

Problem is he has repeatedly stated he isn't willing to stop at that. Complete demilitarisation of Ukraine as as far as he is concerned it doesn't exist as a country is his goal

The idea of Ukrainian pilots flying sorties from polish bases seems like a foolish idea but currently much of it seems based on speculation. I assume for the Polish to agree to it would require NATO backing
