We had blue sky and sunshine after the last lot but it's gone dark, moody and I can hear thunder again.

My first load was almost dry when it began raining so only needed airing. The second lot was just about to be hung out when I saw the big raindrops. No thunder in BN9 though.

And BN9. A few rumbles of thunder too.

Returning from the Shuttle last night, saw lots of lightning, but no rain. Unfortunately, my garden has dried out, so using the watering can early this morning to try and save them. I’d love a big storm tonight to totally soak the ground.

Reading elsewhere, it was a squall that started at Selsey Bill, rolled along the coast to Beachy Head in 30 odd minutes.

I heard a couple of rumbles, saw the black sky to the west, so went out and got all my washing in, as it was practically dry. Five minutes later we have a lot of rain but no thunder or lightning.

According to Liam Dutton, the temperature at the top of that storm is -66C.

Two cracks of thunder in BN9, lots of rain, but possibly more coming in off the Channel.
