But if it was a hamstring, as they say, it's pretty much impossible to play 3 or 4 days later. It's a multi-week recovery. I had a hamstring "tweak" (not a tear) playing Sunday League football in my mid-twenties and I could still feel the damned thing 6 months later.

We played better than OK in the first half. They hardly touched the ball for 45 minutes except to pick it out of the net 3 times. Admittedly we got sloppy in the second-half.

The whole story is strange. If it was a hamstring, as they say it was, the idea of playing 3 days later is preposterous. If it was something else, and the medical team said he was OK to play but not for 90 minutes, why say it was a hamstring? Possibly it was down to Roy bullying the medical team...
