Quite. Palace played very well against us at the AMEX last season. They would definitely have got results in the easier games they had after us irrespective of the manager in charge.

I agree with that, and would like to cite the example of Adam El-Abd. I don't think anyone would have had him down as being a key part of side that played possession football, him being the head-it, boot-it (ball or player) sort, yet under Poyet's coaching he gained the confidence to play that...
