If I was in a position where a friend or colleague acted inappropriately and offended people I'd certainly apologise. It's simply the decent thing to do.
Plenty of people in public office, or public positions, are seemingly able to overcome this difficulty. Her position is now untenable. She has to resign as an MP.
As numerous others have said, operate as a minority government and present bills to parliament which are palatable, acceptable and ultimately passable. I'm sure someone will correct me but I don't think I've ever seen any previous British government so brazenly buy coalition votes like this.
Borrow, borrow, borrow, inflation rising, interest rates on the verge of increasing and scores of Londoners having to leave their town blocks. You have pretty much sumed up the bleakness of where you are after 6 years of Tory government.
That was a manifesto pledge which you could make your mind up about and vote accordingly. This grubby shabby self-serving deal with the DUP wasn't. In fact most of the manifesto pledges the Tories supporters did vote on have been cast aside.
I heard someone at Glastonbury say they thought May would still be in charge in 6 months. I put it down to the mind bending drugs they take at that festival.
