Just so you know, the JAMC are on stage at 8.15 tonight. Early start.

They were great at the DLWP in Bexhill a few years back too. If you sign up to their mailing list before 10 am tomorrow it looks like there might be a pre sale before Fri. (just googled when Bexhill gig was and can’t believe it was in 2017!)

Tickets are £40 though. A bit steep.

For those of on the East side if the county, noise-mongers Gnod play the Piper Club in St Leonard’s/Hastings on Fri 6 May. Anyone know anything about this venue? Looking at their listings they’ve had some interesting bands.

The only other group I’ve heard of and listened to a little bit are Kansas Smitty but they’re not really my thing. My newish discovery is Hedvig Mollestad. She’s a Norwegian guitarist who plays on the edge of jazz and instrumental rock.

I read this over the weekend. Made me chuckle. A gig a month minimum and quarterly visit to a gallery per year should help to put a few years on before I pop me clogs!

You’ll know this already, but for the benefit of others, also check out Shabaka and the Ancestors, the other group that he leads. He’s also been a member of Melt Yourself Down but don’t think he plays with them these days.
