Delving into my poppier side on Friday and going to see Sarpa Salpa at Boileroom, Guildford. What's not to love? Ticket price in single figures and a chance to see a new band at a belting little venue. Having a bit of a Boileroom fest in the coming months, with Beach Riot and Lady Bird gigs...

Next up. Clock Opera at The Lexington on Saturday night. This one always gets my blood pumping. Drumming like gunfire by the end.

Yonaka put on an excellent show at Concorde 2 last night. Ears still ringing in that satisfying post-gig way. Excellent support act in Zuzu too.

Agreed. If Wolf Alice can be packing them out at Brixton I see no reason why Black Honey can't do the same.

Belting show by Black Honey at Boileroom, Guildford this evening. I'll not get to see them in a venue so small again as I imagine they're going places. For a band without an album under their belt yet they can really work a crowd. Catch them if you can.

Just can't spring £65 and the associated costs of a knees up in London for Radiohead. Such a shame. On the brighter side I'm going to see Black Honey at the beautifully microscopic Boileroom in Guildford on Friday night. £6 for entry and I even get to bring my monster camera along. Win!

Saw Daniel Land + band at The Sebright Arms, Bethnal Green. My first time at that venue. Situated in a moderately rough part of town but seemingly occupied by every hipster in a five mile radius. Great gig for those of a Shoegaze/Dreampop persuasion. A generous sprinkling of 6/7 minute...
