Got 4 tickets for War On Drugs. Thanking you.
Also, I'm not sure if that has been mentioned, but Nas is performing Illmatic in its entirety in London as some Kissy festival in London this summer.
I was so worried that they would be slightly off when playing live - chuffed to be completely wrong.
It was surreal to walk in and hear 'you wanna buy anything buddy?', only to look up and see Ezra manning the merch stall!
He and half the band went back to my friends house...woke up this...
The guy on the left's hair was OFF THE CHAIN.
I don't think anyone has ever spent as much money on cans of Red Stripe as I did last night. I also drunkly accosted the Eagulls bass player outside after the show.
Agreed. Haven't really managed to get into their last two releases.
From what I've seen they can be a bit shoddy live. Didn't their Nazi bass player leave as well? Decisions, decisions.
That's what put me off them. The first album was just some bloke in his basement with a jizz covered Midi keyboard and it was BRILLIANT. The more exposure and band-like they got the less I really liked their music.
I was cool enough to pick up Metronomy around the time of Pip Paine, enjoyed their second album, and then completely went off them by the time they started doing LYRIC based songs. I would ask Google, but NSC is so much more informed; are they good again?
Pixies (+ others) at Field Day in Victoria Park.
Can't decide whether I can justify paying Neil Young prices (not sure of his music) to see The National, who I saw a month ago. Will see how the lineup unfolds.
