Brooklyn hipster party starters Sextile for me tomorrow night.

Went to see an Irish post-rock band last night called A Burial at Sea. Never heard of them before, a mate is really into this sort of music and took me. Very enjoyable evening in a DIY 'art space' over looking the river. I particularly like the trumpet player, added a nice dimension to the sound.

I went to see Khanate on Tuesday night. I have to say it was one of the most brutal, intense and loud shows I have been to in a long time. Clip below give you an insight but live it is something else. Crowd was a strange mix of people, different ages, metallers, hipsters, ordinary boring looking...

Although I do question their association with that cider bus. I have never ever been quite the same after a day on that stuff.

They’re involved with other festivals as well. Be interesting to see how this all pans out….and why music festivals thought it a good idea to take money from such a bank.

This is one of the “first album” gigs? It will be great. I’m hoping they do something over here.

I plan to go to Rough Trade this weekend (it opened yesterday), I'll ask...in fact I will demand! It was always an anomoly that for all of Berlin's cultural richness it does not have many record stores like Resident or Rough Trade....until now that is. They also have a coffee bar and serve...

The Shabaka experience sounds incredible on many levels. What a privilege. The new album has been given lots of spins in our household.

Seems to be the case with any band of note these days. The The has cost me 70 euros, Oneohtrix Point Never was 50.

He’s also got BCNR on some dates as well. It’s a huge tour, must be the biggest he’s done and all at arenas. He’s almost sold out the Berlin date. Amazing that someone so far into their career is reaching so many new people.

Saw Oneohtrix Point Never tonight. A fantastic artist and performer. Amusingly there was a small model of his stage setup on stage, with a puppeteer operating the doll of OPN..this was projected onto the big screens instead of OPN himself.
