Here ex husband, Ruston Kelly is a fantastic singer songwriter. His ‘Dying star’ album is superb. Very Jackson Browne. I saw Ruston Kelly supporting some band in Brighton a few years ago.

My girlfriend and I are going to see Loreena McKennitt at The London Palladium, if Mick Whelan permits rail travel on that day.

Saw Andy Fairweather Low last night in Shoreham. His band were of the highest calibre and he's pretty good.

Did anyone on NSC see Keane last week at the centre? I was completely underwhelmed. An endless selection of mediocre songs, occasionally punctuated by one of the outstanding tracks from ‘Hopes and dreams’.

Anyone on here see Keene at The Brighton Centre last night? An unlimited selection of mediocre songs, interspersed with a three or four of the outstanding tracks from 'Hopes and dreams'. They're good, but they're certainly not great.

I saw him once at the Concorde. He was good, but it wasn't exactly life changing. IMHO he wasn't in the same league as Jackson Browne. No one is, apart from possibly Springsteen. Awaits flak........................

Anyone going to see Jesse Malin on Saturday at the haunt? Very Springsteenesque. Excellent live and thank god he's got a band with him.

Patty Griffin is playing at the Southbank on 15 May. That's the one gig that I was desperate to attend. Tickets go on sale on 30th Jan. It's irrelevant now. My girlfriend has booked a holiday for us in Krakow, returning on 16th May. Decided against seeing Ryan Adams at RAH. It's too vast. I...

Saw Mogwai earlier. Could've been a really good concert, had they played at half of the volume.

I saw Ruston Kelly supporting Restless hearts on Thursday at Patterns. Ruston is exceptionally talented. His album 'Dying star' is one of the best releases that I've heard for years. Restless hearts really impressed me. I couldn't find a weakness, apart from the fact that their songs aren't...

I was also there. Wasn't particularly impressed by the pretty things. In 48 years of regularly attending concerts, I've only ever seen one or two bands that were worse than their support band last night. Just returned from seeing Robert Vincent and Beth Nielsen Chapman in London. She was...

I've just bought a ticket for Beth Nielsen Chapman at The Cadogan Hall, in London. I'm more interested in Robert Vincent, who is supporting. The few tracks I've heard by him sound really promising.
