Thanks for that. Bit the bullet and went for them and they've been good on the road/track. Haven't had a chance to take them on the hills yet but think they should do the trick fine.
Hi, can anyone help with trail shoes? I run in Mizuno Wave Riders and see they have a trail version of them (https://emea.mizuno.com/uk/en-gb/wave-rider-tt-2/J1GC2032-aw20.html). I'm reluctant to move away from Wave Riders as I've had knee problems in the past and the Wave Riders have been...
I appreciate it's tricky for you particularly, but I'm coming to the view that staying away from CV news and views is essential, watch the 10pm news and you'll learn enough i'd imagine.
Finally getting back into running after five months off (laziness not injury) I had forgotten what a civilised corner of NSC this is, nice to be back.
I steer clear of this thread when I'm not running, it just rubs it in how lazy I'm being!
New 10k PB for me on Sunday, 44:13. A four lap course, tracked a guy down over the last lap and a half, was on his shoulder for the last half lap, pipped him at the post like a knob.
Reading the heart scare stories above made me stop and think - I am convinced I push myself harder than I really...
Might be a handful of you this is of interest to - New Balance running club on Strava are offering three free pints if you do 13 miles in the next two weeks (have to sign up to the challenge via their club).
Trouble is, the three pints are only available at The Runaway on Charing Cross Road (a...
Can I join in the results table fun? 5k SB and PB this morning on a slippy muddy Parkrun course in Reigate, 22:00 AG 61.14%. Starting up at the front and hanging for dear life seems to help with the time.
Agree with a lot of the comments above - too many pinch points on the course and before the run, long gap between penultimate and last water station, and just rarely felt like a free flowing event. Won’t be doing it again, which is a shame as the timing of it in the year makes it a good...
Has anyone used www.mbition.coach? I had an email from the Brighton half which included a link to their website. I have signed up to the free trial and quite like the look of it. I'm not serious enough about running to pay for a coach, but also well aware that my usual training (or lack or it)...
I did the Reigate 10k yesterday off the back of very little training, wore the heart rate monitor for no particular reason, just fancied having a look after. Started quite quickly trying to get past a few people and into some space and kept on at a relatively high pace (for me) waiting for the...
