Tim Carder’s Brighton & Hove Albion and the First World War. I’ve had an interest in WW1 since researching my Great grandfather who died in it. It’s an interesting read, full of Albion stuff not covered by his other remarkable books on the Albion.
Brighton Rock. Never read it before, although seen the films a few times. Good read and shows up a few differences from the film version(s). Also good to identify places from Brighton's past, and some familiar ones.
More recently he brought out a second book called Americana. I didn't buy it at the time because I thought it covered more recent times, however I now think he may cover the issues he faced there in the 60s, so I might get hold of it.
