The Count might be my second favourite book!
I think more books need to be written in the old periodical style. It seems to ensure there's no lull in the story telling.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I found it nicely written just a bit...:shrug:

I'm not feeling it. It's widely considered one of the masterpieces of the 20th century so the deficiency is mine. I just don't get it.
Bring Up The Bodies by Hillary Mantel. It's the second in the trilogy about Thomas Cromwell and if anything is even better than the first (Wolf Hall). Really good historical fiction.
