They are but equally he has had ample opportunity to say "I want to stay but the owner has sacked me..... " but he hasn't. He doesn't sound bitter, just a bit disappointed. My overall impression is that he does not want to stay.
In previous interviews he said that he only wants to work if he is happy and motivated. If he could change the way that TB operates then he would be happy and motivated but he can't so he has agreed to leave. He may not want to leave but equally he will not stay if he is not those things.
The club will spend money on the right player at the right price. Sometimes that fits in with the managers expectations, sometimes it doesn't. It can be a frustrating model but it is ultimately the one that delivered a squad that qualified for Europe. The ultimate question is whether that model...
