I know what people mean when they say it's sad to see him playing well below what he was before, but I actually respect him more as a result as it shows how much he clearly loves tennis. The easy option would have been to retire four or five years ago but he's simply born to compete. He's a pure...
Why don't they remove the Nouvelle Chicane, widen Tabac and add DRS all the way from Portier to Tabac? That seems relatively easy and would create a long stretch at full speed that would presumably allow overtaking.
Why does it matter if they're on camera? There are loads of grounds where the away fans are on camera - Arsenal, Southampton, Spurs, Brentford, Man City, Forest etc. It doesn't affect anything surely?
It's about 6,000 if you include the NE corner I believe. The issue with it will be, as others have said, handing over what are currently expensive seats to be sold for £30. But it would surely generate a better atmosphere.
I'd love the away fans in the northern end of the East Lower in the hope it would spark some atmosphere between them and our fans in the North. Then open up the entire South end to families to get more kids in.
What concerns me is that if you give Everton and Forest their points back then every team that will be in the division next season bar Forest and Brentford finished within two points of us, so it's an incredibly tight pack from 9th down with very little to choose between any team. I'm therefore...
Agree. I like Igor. I'm not sure he's a first choice every week, but he's a good player and perfect for games where we're expected to dominate possession.
But there's no getting away from the fact he had a shocker at Luton (along with six or seven others)!
Igor definitely played at Luton as I clearly remember them playing the ball in the gap between him and Estupinan repeatedly in the first half and us not having an answer.
Agreed. In the last 10 years, Man United, Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal all have a net spend over £1bn. Liverpool's is £450m. To win all the major trophies with such a budget deficit to all your main rivals undoubtedly makes Klopp a world-class manager.
Has Pascal ever won POTS with us before? Struggling to remember all the previous winners during our PL era. Caicedo and Cucurella the last two but I can't recall whether he may have won it during the Hughton years.
No chance. Thomas Frank has done superbly at Brentford but our players would not suit his style so I doubt we'd be interested. And why would he be interested in leaving Brentford for us? Moves between any clubs in the bottom 12 are all pretty much sideways.
Palace are going to regret not making more of this first half. They've played well enough (and Liverpool have defended appallingly enough) for this to be 0-3 and game over at half time.
They would if they are needing to sell Bruno Guimares this summer for PSR reasons. If they cash in on Guimares at £60m or £70m and then buy Gilmour and spread his fee over five years that's going to be very healthy for their PSR.
