So Birmingham's fate currently in Blackburn's hands, managed by John Eustace - the man they sacked when they were 6th.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I take it you didn’t read the bit “ or drawing”. But do carry on
You're right - I missed it. I take it Birmingham is your team? Looks rather like they've had it at the moment - still, aren't things off the field improving? The new ownership seems to be mostly good news. OK, Rooney, yes I know! - but apart from that.

As an aside, I think it would be interesting if club allegiance was included in NSCers' profiles. It would be good to have discussions about other teams from time to time.

I can't emphasise enough how much I hope Southampton and Leeds get absolutely thrashed in the play offs.

Like, beaten so badly their players look at themselves and go "you know what lads, sod this for a game of soldiers, I'm going to do an apprenticeship in welding" and they have to skip next season completely because they have no players left.
I love this phrase so much. I need to start using it myself

Has Beadle saved Massive? Much praise for the young man on here:

Speculation on there about Marc Leonard too - it seems that Wednesday want him, as do several other Championship clubs, apparently.

Yep. And a lesson for the massive arrogance and stupidity of their American owners to fire Eustace in 6th simply to appoint a bigger name.

Feel sorry for the fans, but owners deserve this for their ego based cock up.
I posted similar at the time it happened, and got shot down a bit because someone said their form had been poor and it was a “false position” (kind of like us under Wilkins that one season). I was of the opinion he was overachieving with a poor squad. Needless to say, I had the last laugh.

Love the panto of getting the perfunctory line of stewards out, as if they're actually going to be able to hold the line against thousands and thousands of jubilant fans.
Oh they know, they’re just fulfilling a contractual obligation for liability reasons.
